Selectmen's Minutes - February 26, 1991

Paul Taber, Patrolman, met with the Board regarding the possibility of a revolving fund from receipts and fines for the P.D.  Monday could be used to purchase, repair and maintain Police Dept. property and equipment.  This cannot pay salaries for capital outlay.  Estimated $20,000 to $25,000 a year.

Mr. Vess advised that planning is underway for Memorial Day Parade and will be soliciting businesses for funding.

Voted to hold hearing on March 12 at 8:00 p.m. on the transfer of a wine and malt beverage package store license from My Cost, Inc. Myette's Country Store to Alfred Liberatore, dba Stripes General Store, 156 Liberty Street.

Granted permission for Boy Scout Troop 34 to sell candy bars door-to-door during the month of March during daylight hours.

Noted that wording is being worked out on addendum to firefighters contract.  Will be ready for signature prior to the Special Town Meeting.  Will also sign contract with Executive Secretary at this time.

Appointment of Treasurer/Collector will be put off until a full board is present.

Denied a request from Fire Chief Huska for an executive session to discuss the reputation and character, etc. of an individual because the individual has the right to be present.
